May 25, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Energy Conversion Devices, Inc., the parent company to Uni-Solar Ovonic, announced its operating results for the quarter that ended March 31, 2004. Total revenues were $16.5 million compared to $13.6 million in the third quarter last year. Revenue from product sales were up significantly at $8.5 million compared to $4.5 million in the first three months of 2003. However, due to a big drop in revenue from product development agreements and a big increase in expenses, the Company’s net loss was $12.3 million for the quarter, a more than $3 million increase over the $9.1 million it lost in the same quarter last year. On a per-share basis, the loss was $.49 in the third quarter of Fiscal 2004 compared to a loss of $.41 in the same quarter last year.
