Energy Bill’s Solar Tax Credits Revealed

October 31, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has acquired some information on the tax provisions likely to be contained in the final Energy Bill, via a draft labeled October 30. The draft contains both the solar residential tax credit — 15 percent capped at US$2000 for both solar hot water and photovoltaics (separate caps) — and an extension of the 1.8 cent($0.018) production tax credit to solar facilities. Information on research and development appropriations via both the Interior and Energy and Water bills may be available through SEIA’s e-newsletter expected out later today.
