April 20, 2011 – Marketwire — Despatch Industries, solar industry equipment supplier, received, in the last 6 months, upgrade orders for 1.2GW of its installed base of CF Series firing and drying furnaces with VOC thermal oxidizers.
Despatch’s patent-pending VOC Thermal Oxidizers offer a cleaner and more efficient method of processing the volatile organic compounds that are byproducts of the firing and drying process, while improving overall system uptime and eliminating VOC-related maintenance. A safe and efficient conversion process uses the heat and effluent from the dryer, in conjunction with conditions optimized for the drying process, to convert dangerous, hard to handle byproducts into clean air. The company’s oxidizing process provides 99%+ VOC destruction efficiency and a maintenance-free design. It eliminates the need to handle and dispose of dangerous volatiles extracted in the drying process and does not cause contamination in facility ductwork.
“The VOC Thermal Oxidizer upgrade is installed by our global service team, on any existing Despatch firing and drying furnace and our customer can be back in production in less than 24 hours,” said Matt Benson, Despatch Industries global service network manager.
“As customers focus on maximizing factory output, reducing maintenance and streamlining operations, Despatch’s VOC Thermal Oxidizer has quickly gained in popularity with our entire installed base of firing and drying furnace users. New equipment sales that include the VOC Thermal Oxidizer option have demonstrated its value in production and generated a lot of interest from customers with existing equipment,” states Benson.
