Horb am Neckar, Germany [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] DEGERenergie announced last week at Intersolar North America in San Francisco that its uniaxial TOPtraker systems have been certified by both CSA and UL. The certification is for the company’s DEGER TOPtraker 8.5, TOPtraker 25 HD and TOPtraker 40NT models.
DEGERenergie developed the TOPtraker 40NT specifically for the U.S. market. The system is designed to have up to a 40 square-meter module area and generate from 4,000-6,400 watts. The three models were certified according to the Canada Standard CSA 22.2 No. 61010-1 and the U.S. Standard UL 61010-1.
DEGERenergie said that it has experienced increased demand from the U.S. market since the election of President Obama and the passage of the stimulus package, which includes billions for solar energy development.
