Deal Aggregates Major Dutch Solar Companies

April 20, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Universal Communication Systems (UCSY) has executed a share purchase agreement (SPA) with the shareholders and directors to acquire 51% of GiraSolar BV of Amsterdam, Holland, that includes part ownership of Stroomwerk Energy BV and Solar Service Buro BV. GiraSolar shall own a majority share of respectively 65% in Stroomwerk Energy BV and 85% Solar Service Buro BV. UCSY’s company chairman Michael J. Zwebner said, combined, they will now own one of the largest and most prestigious companies in Holland/Europe operating in the field of photovoltaic solar energy. GiraSolar BV director Weiland Koonstra said he believes UCSY will grow into one of the largest and strongest independent PV Solar Energy groups without ties to the conventional oil and chemicals industries traditionally involved with Solar Energy.
