Coveme opens PV backsheet production in China

Coveme, polyester film producer, opened its first PV backsheet production plant in China, COVEME Engineered Films (Zhangjiagang) Co. Ltd, in Jiangsu Province, China.

November 17, 2011 — Coveme, polyester film producer, opened its first production plant in China, COVEME Engineered Films (Zhangjiagang) Co. Ltd, in Jiangsu Province, China.

The facility will manufacture a range of Coveme dyMat PYE backsheet materials for the photovoltaics manufacturing market.

dyMat PYE backsheets are based on a special high-grade PET. Features include high-voltage insulation, durability in extreme environments, and availability in different colors and compositions. DyMat backsheets are available as double-sided black versions and the PYE3000 that resists over 3000h damp heat test (DHT).

Coveme has developed a photovoltaics backsheet made of highest-performing polyester and special adhesives resistant to hydrolysis and ultraviolet rays. Learn more at http://www.covemephotovoltaic.com/home/.
