Conergy Expands Solar Thermal Offerings

Germany [] Hamburg-based Conergy AG has expanded its solar-thermal product line to include thermosyphon systems, thanks to its takeover of the Euro-Australian company Cap-Aus Pty. Thanks to the relatively simple production process for thermosyphon systems there are growing cost advantages over fossil fuel based heating or cooling systems, says the company. That is why these systems are particularly in demand in the sunny regions of Southern Asia and the Mediterranean, with millions of systems already in use. Hans-Martin Ruter, Chairman and founder of Conergy AG, said the technology already accounts for more than 80% of the global solar water heating market and is an ideal addition to Conergy’s range of solar thermal components and flat plate collectors.
