Conergy Acquires Solar Firm in Switzerland

Hamburg, Germany / Flurlingen, Switzerland [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Publicly traded corporation Conergy Group has consolidated its position in the Swiss solar market with the buyout of Voegelin GmbH. The Conergy Group’s subsidiary, SunTechnics Fabrisolar, has been the leader in solar energy system integration and dealing in the Swiss photovoltaics market since 1998 via AET Swiss. The Voegelin GmbH acquisition makes the Conergy Group the number one provider of heliothermal systems in Switzerland. Since the company’s establishment in 1988, founder and Managing Director Daniel Voegelin and his 12-man team have achieved prominence through service-oriented sales of solar flat-plate collectors and drain-back system technologies, posting sales of EUR 4 million [US$5 million] in 2005.
