Dallas-based Stream, a direct selling company and provider of essential services, announced that Larry Mondry has been selected by the firm’s board of managers as its new president and chief executive officer. Mondry assumed his new role immediately.
“I’m excited to join the Stream family and build on the successful foundation created by my predecessors. My overarching goal as Stream’s new president and CEO is to take its already sound infrastructure, and scale the company so it reaches new heights. Together we will continue to grow Stream – by geography, by product, by customer count and by Associate count,” said Mondry.
Mondry succeeds Mark “Bouncer” Schiro, who will remain involved in the company as a shareholder and board member.
“Considering Larry’s impressive track record as a seasoned executive and proven skill at growing companies, I’m confident he will serve Stream well as our new president and CEO. I know he is the right leader to bring Stream into its next era,” said Schiro.
Upon accepting the role of Stream’s president and CEO in 2011, Schiro was tasked with reorganizing the company’s structure to position it for expansion and diversification. Under his leadership, Stream set its vision for the next 10 years by introducing the concept of the Stream Connected Home and solidifying its position as a direct selling company that provides essential services.
“Bouncer has been my partner for 10 years and has worked hard to set Stream up for continued success. He has left this firm organizationally more effective and financially stronger than at any time in our history. And with Larry, I know that we have leadership that will leverage off the base that Bouncer has built. Now more than ever, Stream is ready to grow,” said Rob Snyder, chairman of the board and co-founder of Stream.
Mondry joins Stream bringing proven chief executive experience with a number of consumer goods and technology brands. Before joining Stream, Mondry spent 16 years at CompUSA in various roles, most recently as president and CEO. He has also served as CEO of CSK Auto, and is currently on the board of Micron Technology.
In 2015 Stream, one of the largest retail electricity providers in Texas, celebrated its 10th year in business. While the company’s roots will always be in energy, it has been steadily expanding its reach across the continental U.S., introducing concepts and products that support its vision of the Stream Connected Home.
