Comments and opinions welcome on the USA Today article…

I found yesterday’s USA Today article, “’Solar-coaster’ hits as sun sets on federal subsidies” quite interesting and wondered what comments and opinions people have… As energy historian Daniel Yergin said in the article, “Even with subsidies decreasing, I don’t expect the solar industry to wither as it did in the 1980s when it entered the “Valley of Death.” Today, this is really global business. … This is not game over.”

On the flip side, I know that a new organization called Sol Haven Fund provides financing for solar PV projects for nonprofits and tax-exempt entities. With the 1603 Federal ITC Grant program expiring in 87 days, any qualifying project that has not been funded will have missed this opportunity.  I understand Sol Haven offers nonprofits and tax-exempt entities a way to safe harbor solar PV projects so they can move forward even if the deadline passes, ensuring their projects become a reality, and that adequate time is available for proper planning and execution.  Have you heard about this fund?  I found them at http://www.solhavenfund.com
