Chemical Giant Joins U.S. Solar Energy Group

[] The U.S. Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA) latest newsletter included an item welcoming a new member to their D.C.-based trade association. A small chemical company you might recognize called DuPont officially joined the ranks of the solar industry. While they don’t have any current module offerings, that doesn’t seem to be what the company is after. Instead, they offer a range of products for a variety of solar manufacturing processes and module types. This includes Tefzel for flexible modules, Solamet for conductive pastes, Elvax, Surlyn, and SentryGlas for protection of solar cells, and Tedlar for weather resistance and electrical module protection.
