Carbone Lorraine Signs US $85M Solar Deals

Carbone Lorraine, a producer of graphite materials and solutions, has signed contracts to provide it’s technologies to two major manufacturers in the solar energy industry.

The first contract will address the isostatic material needs of a major producer of polysilicon. This contract is valued at approximately US $60 million over a period of four years. The second contract, valued at approximately US $25 million over a period of one year, calls for Carbone Lorraine to supply graphite systems to a solar equipment manufacturer. Further details were not available.

These two contracts are aligned with Carbone Lorraine’s policy of strengthening its partnerships with leading manufacturers in key industries, such as the solar market which is experiencing very rapid growth, the company said in a statement.
