Canadian Solar Files for IPO

Washington, DC [Associated Press] Canadian Solar Inc., a Chinese company, registered Monday [Oct. 23] for an initial public offering worth up to $115.5M on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The company, which is incorporated in Canada but based in China, makes solar cells and recycles silicon. … CSI plans to use net proceeds from the offering to purchase or prepay for solar cells and silicon raw materials and for the expansion into solar cell manufacturing.
