California City Going Solar

The City of Livermore, California has contracted with Renewable Technologies, Inc. of Sutter Creek, California to prepare plans and specifications for the City of Livermore’s City Hall Solar Photovoltaic Pilot Project. This approximately 90 kW system will be installed on the City of Livermore City Hall building in the fall of 2003. Bid Package 02-40 for construction of the project is anticipated to be available in early June 2003. The City of Livermore’s City Attorney’s office has determined that this project is not eligible for a design-build contract under the State of California regulations for municipality contracts. Therefore all qualified contractors are invited to review the contract documents, plans and specifications and submit a bid for the installation of the City Hall Solar Photovoltaic Pilot Project in accordance with the contract documents, design criteria, plans and specifications.
