California Center for Water Education Commissions BIPV System

Poughkeepsie, New York [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Atlantis Energy Systems, Inc. completed a 592-kilowatt (kW) solar electric system, including a 41.75 kW building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) system at the Center for Water Education in Hemet near Los Angeles. The BIPV system is installed as a canopy over the two front entrances of the building complex and is part of a 550 kW solar electric rooftop. Each of the 114 BIPV modules measures 2.4 m by 1.6 m and delivers 366 Watts. The expected annual output from the BIPV canopies is 60 MWh. For information, e-mail atlantissunslates@comcast.net.
