Butte College Wins Round in Solar Fight

Butte College has apparently won another round in its effort to build a solar power facility on its Pentz Road campus, but the woman leading the charge against the project said she will continue the fight. Last week rumors circulated that the Army Corps of Engineers, which regulates activities related to waterways and wetlands, was preparing to issue a cease-and-desist order telling Butte to stop work on the solar facility. However, Tuesday, after walking the property, the head of the corps’ regulatory branch for this area said categorically there would be no cease and desist issued from his office…
