BP Solar, Spanish Bank Team Up on Giant Solar Project

Spain [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Banco Santander Central Hispano SA and BP’s solar energy division said they have launched Europe’s largest photovoltaic solar energy project with an investment of Euro 160 million. In a statement, the two groups said that the project entails the construction of 278 solar energy installations with a combined installed capacity of 18-25 megawatts. Work on the project is slated to begin in May and be completed by December 2007.
