BP Solar, Banco do Nordeste Negotiate Partnership

September 10, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] The Brazilian bank BN (Banco do Nordeste) and BP Solar, a division of BP (British Petroleum) are negotiating a partnership for the expansion of solar energy systems in the Northeast region rural areas. BP has 14 teams working on the system’ implementation in 1,852 schools from 11 Brazilian states. The contract is worth US$10 million.
