Bentek Solarv will supply Borrego Solar with a range of disconnecting combiners, re-combiners and disconnect safety systems for use on its commercial and utility-scale projects.

June 20, 2011 — Bentek Solar, photovoltaics balance of system (BOS) designer and manufacturer, will supply Borrego Solar, financier, designer and integrator of commercial and utility scale PV solar systems, with a range of disconnecting combiners, re-combiners and disconnect safety systems for use on its commercial and utility-scale projects. The supply agreement covers 25MW of solar power.

Balance of system products can be the most important elements of an efficient large-scale solar photovoltaics installation, said Chris Anderson, CTO of Borrego Solar. The company did its due diligence on “BOS providers, their market-ready solutions and future product roadmaps,” he added, saying Bentek Solar products proved “well-designed, well-made, and cost-competitive.”
