Boeing Satellite Launches with New Solar Array

June 7, 2002 [] The Boeing-built Galaxy IIIC 702 satellite, will be the first Boeing 702 to carry the company’s latest solar array technology. The satellite, which will provide communications service to the United States and Latin America, is scheduled to launch June 15 from the Equator on a Sea Launch rocket. The redesigned solar array is a flat, planar array that has been featured on Boeing 601 satellites over the last 10 years.
