Advent Solar Secures $8 Million in Funding

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Solar cell and module developer Advent Solar landed US$ 8 million in Series B funding. The financing round was led by EnerTech Capital Partners, and includes @Ventures, the New Mexico Co-Investment Partners, and Angels with Attitude, which has invested in Advent prior to this funding round. Advent will use the funds to produce emitter wrap-through back contact cells. The company is developing both residential and industrial applications, and is constructing its pilot production line in the Manufacturing Technology and Training Center in the Science and Technology Park at the University of New Mexico.
