Abound Solar’s Kanjorski on the future of CdTe

Russ Kanjorski, VP of marketing at Abound Solar, summarizes the progress to date at the company’s first cadmium telluride (CdTe) PV facility. The company is looking forward to having its first commercial installation in 2H09.

Looking ahead, Kanjorski believes that the cost of the manufacturing base in CdTe is low enough to allow effective pricing, and CdTe is accepted in the market as a viable alternative.
