Madrid, Spain [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] 9REN announced this week that it has completed the permits for three solar projects, which will have a total installed capacity of 16.4 megawatts (MW).
Two of the three projects are in the Apulia region. The first is the 2.4-MW San Trifone project in Latium, close to Rome. The second is an 8-MW project located in Palagianello. Both projects will incorporate RENseesun performance booster, a technology developed by 9REN which the company says it makes it possible to improve the expected production by 2%.
The third project is the 6-MW Bellavista solar farm in the Municipality of Lanuvio, in the Province of Rome and will integrate RENtree, an eco-agricoltural project based on Permacolture, a biological system of agricultural production.
9REN Group was established by First Reserve Corporation in 2008 after the company acquired Gamesa Solar and Ener3.
