Utilities and solution providers network over eggs and pastries

DISTRIBUTECH 2023 attendees in the conference hall.

About three hundred people got up early the second day of DISTRIBUTECH 2023 to talk shop, meet potential new partners and learn about industry trends during the highly popular breakfast roundtables. The most popular topics in 2023 included Utility of the Future, DER Device Management (DERMS), and AMI X.0 – What’s Next?

Highlighting the difficulty that utilities are having hiring new people, a new table covering Talent Acquisition and Retention was also well attended.

Networking is the number one reason that attendees give for attending annual events like DISTRIBUTECH, which hosted more than 16,000 people in San Diego this year. Utilities come together to learn from each other and discuss different methods and strategies for asset management, managed electric vehicle charging, microgrids, customer engagement, cybersecurity.

In addition, they look to understand how new regulations such as FERC Order 2222 or the Inflation Reduction Act will impact their businesses.

DISTRIBUTECH 2024 will take place from February 26-29, 2024 in Orlando, Florida.
