Thomas Kramer joins Opower as CFO

Arlington, Va., November 17, 2011 — Opower, an energy efficiency software company, announced that Thomas Kramer has been appointed as the company’s chief financial officer.

He will help lead Opower as it continues its rapid growth, having recently doubled its headcount and expanded its business internationally.

Kramer was previously the CFO of Cvent, a U.S. event management technology company where he led the company’s finance, strategy and administrative divisions from the company’s beginning.

Prior to Cvent, Kramer worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and as a senior consultant at Accenture. He received his MBA in strategy and finance from Harvard Business School, and graduated Cum Laude from the Norwegian School of Economics with an MS in Economics.
