
With all that the world had to grapple with in 2020, it would come as no surprise to learn that smart city projects that cities all over the world were working on took a back seat when the pandemic hit. After all, cities needed to tend to their citizens, ensuring their well-being and safety in a very scary time.
The civil unrest that was also unearthed in 2020, also likely took center stage for city and municipal planners across the U.S.
So does that mean that any smart city initiatives and project plans were stalled, delayed, or canceled all together?
We at DISTRIBUTECH hope not. Yet, to date, we haven’t received a single smart city/IoT speaking idea for our 2022 event and our call for speakers has been open for several weeks.
Prove us wrong! If you are working on a smart city project or initiative and you’d like to share it with the electric utility industry, please submit an abstract.
For that matter, we’re also looking for more abstracts for our other tracks, too, which are listed below.
