SCT`s Energy, Utilities and Communications unit (www.sctcorp.com) in Malvern, Pa., today released version 2.2.2 of its Banner customer information system (CIS), a key component of the Banner customer management suite.
The update includes a single billing system for multiple services from multiple providers through electronic data interchange (EDI). “We created a parser table allowing Banner to work with translators. Each trading partner can set up a format for transactions and orders,” said Bob Szadek, SCT`s director of marketing and sales support for utility systems. “The design is flexible to support changes in the industry.”
Other new features of the CIS include an interface that allows smooth integration with third-party systems, such as credit card authorization and address verification; real-time pricing and time-of-use options enabling service providers to offer competitive terms to key customers; and integration with the Banner work management system to offer an automated link for generating work orders directly from the CIS.
The Banner suite also includes customer contact and electronic work queue systems for inbound and outbound campaign support and response management; the Customer Target+ product for marketing support; and Customer Web Access product to handle online inquiries and administration.
