RALEIGH, NC, Sep 11, 2001 – Invensys Powerware Division and Active Power Inc., today announced a new agreement that will expand their relationship to distribute Active Power’s next-generation flywheel product, CleanSource2.
The new CleanSource2, developed by Active Power, will be distributed through Powerware’s global sales force.
Powerware will offer the CleanSource® battery-free technology with its three phase uninterruptible power systems (UPS), delivering a totally integrated world-class power solution. Under the terms of the agreement, Powerware has committed to actively promote the CleanSource product line through defined sales and marketing programs and is the only UPS company within the United States that will have access to this new flywheel product.

Powerware Global Services will provide service for the integrated systems, offering a seamless, single point of contact. Powerware Global Services features a 7 x 24 call center, product training, a worldwide spare parts logistics network, and more than 2000 dedicated service professionals around the globe. In addition, both models of the CleanSource2, the 250kW and the 500kW, can be monitored with Powerware’s Foreseer software to identify problems, execute corrective action and prevent failures.
