German energy technology group Voith is teaming up with Swiss digitalization business Kudelski to launch cybersecurity services for industrial companies.
“The convergence of IT and OT environments enables operational efficiencies, new business models and data intelligence to drive predictive maintenance and better decision making,” said Dr Teemu Tunkelo, chief technology officer for Platform Services at Voith Digital Solutions.
“However, this convergence also presents unique cybersecurity and business continuity challenges that need to be strategically addressed using targeted services and technologies.”
He added that “by combining Voith’s OT and IoT domain knowledge with Kudelski’s expertise in cybersecurity and IoT technologies and services, our customers will benefit from world-class protection and fully realize the rewards that digital transformation has to offer.”
Kudelski has been designing software and hardware-based security solutions for 30 years and the collaboration with Voith will particularly utilize a Kudelski solution called IoT Security Suite. It operates Cyber Fusion Centres in Switzerland and the US.
