PEQUOT LAKES, Minn., April 07, 2005 — Command Centerà¢â€ž- version 2.2, the newest release of Hunt Technologies’ automatic meter reading (AMR) management software, is now available. It offers more integration and compatibility with popular engineering and billing software applications, while providing enhanced features for retrieving and managing AMR data.
A main highlight of the new release is Command Center’s interfaces with engineering software, such as Milsoft’s Windmil 6 application. Command Center transfers data such as maximum demand, time-of-use demand, phase, signal strength and momentary interruption count to the Windmil application.
“The capability to interface with engineering applications makes Command Center 2.2 an invaluable tool for distribution planning,” said Scott Juranek, director of software development at Hunt Technologies. “It takes the guesswork out of load allocation, and will assist with field maintenance.”
Command Center also shares data with outage management software applications, such as Milsoft’s DisSpatch, PartnerSoft’s Operations Manager, UAI’s Utility Center and Patterson & Dewar Engineers. Interfaces with customer information system (CIS) software include NISC’s iVUE and SEDC’s UPN. Command Center offers pre-set billing extract formats for NISC, SEDC, Daffron, CSA and Badger Connect.
“We expanded existing billing, GIS, and outage management interfaces to provide even more efficiency for the entire utility,” Juranek said.
Command Center 2.2 was programmed to standards specified by the MultiSpeak initiative. It is the system software for Hunt Technologies’ one-way and two-way AMR systems, as well as for Hunt’s multi-utility AMR solution for water and gas. The software’s browser-based platform allows easy access, compatibility and usability within the utility environment.
In addition to software, Hunt Technologies offers data hosting services that manage the hardware and software aspects of system administration for the customer. This newest version is available online for immediate download for current Command Center customers.
