White Energy Acquires 100 mgy Greenfield Ethanol Project in Texas

Dallas, Texas [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] White Energy Holding Company, LLC, acquired a 100-million gallon-per-year (mgy) greenfield ethanol project that will be a “near twin” of White Energy’s other ethanol facility under construction in Hereford, Texas. Completion targeted for early 2008. White Energy also owns an operating 45-mgy plant in Russell, Kansas, which will bring White Energy’s total production capacity to 245 mgy. In addition to acquiring the Plainview site from the Scoular Company, White Energy formed a long-term strategic relationship with Scoular, based in Omaha, Nebraska, in which Scoular will provide grain procurement and distillers grain marketing services for selected White Energy plants and risk management services.
