Vestas Receives More Turbine Orders

Vestas has received an order for 109 units of its V82-1.65 megawatt (MW) wind turbine for projects in U.S.. The wind turbines have a total installed capacity of 180 MW. The order has been placed by the North American division of E.ON Climate & Renewables.

The news follows an order for a total of 32 units of the Vestas V90-1.8 MW wind turbine for the Mudèfer I and II projects in Spain. The contract includes supply, installation, commissioning, a SCADA solution, as well as a five-year service agreement. The Mudèfer projects will be located in the province of Tarragona in the region of Catalonia. The plant will have a total capacity of 57.6 MW. Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to start in 2009. The order has been placed by Catalana d’Energíes Renovables, S.L. owned by Fersa Energias Renovables S.A..

Vestas has also recently received two orders for a total of 33 wind turbines for two projects in Poland. The order for the Dobrzyn project consist of 17 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine, and the order for the Wronki project consists of 16 units of the V90-3.0 MW turbine. Both contracts include supply, installation, commissioning, a SCADA solution as well as a five-year service contract. The orders have been placed by German developer the Vortex Energy Group, while the owner of the projects will be ScanEnergy A/S.

The Dobrzyn project will be located in the province of Kujawsko-Pomorskie in the Lipnowski region, and the Wronki project will be located in the province of Warmi?sko-Mazurskie in the region of Go?dapski.  Delivery of the wind turbines for both projects is scheduled for the end of 2008 or early in 2009, and commissioning is expected during the second quarter of 2009.
