Vestas Receives Large Order In Spain

Vestas has received an order for a total of 61 wind turbines for four projects in Spain. The order includes 49 units of Vestas’ V90 1.8-megawatt (MW) wind turbine and 12 units of the V90 2-MW turbine for a total combined capacity of 112 MW.

As part of the order, Vestas will include supply of the turbines, installation and a SCADA system, as well as a five-year service and availability contract.

At the customer’s request, details about the project ownership cannot be disclosed at this time. Delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines are scheduled to start in 2009.
