ASES Event Kicks Off

Pick your favorite solar topic: Solar Thermal. PV Manufacturing. Monitoring Standards. Policy. Storage. Training. The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) will be covering it all at its annual conference this week – and will be there producing dozens of video interviews and video industry roundtable discussions.

This year’s ASES event, being held in Phoenix, Arizona, comes off the heels of another strong growth year of solar. In 2009, the PV and CSP industries grew 37% and the solar hot water market grew by 10 percent. While financing still remains tight and the housing market is staggering back from its low point, installation numbers — driven by state-level solar programs — continue their upward trend.

ASES and are collaborating to bring you a range of interviews from the conference to provide you with a snapshot of how the industry is faring as we move into the middle of 2010. Be on the look-out this week for our coverage of the event in our blog and in our enormous video section. While you’re there, you can watch hundreds of other interviews, roundtables and project profiles on all the renewable energy industries.
