Hall of Fame

Clarion Energy has opened the window to nominate qualifying hydroelectric plants worldwide for induction into the Hydro Hall of Fame in 2025.

The 2025 class of inductees will be announced during the opening keynote session at HYDROVISION International in July 2025 in Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.

Initial qualifying criteria for consideration are that the facility has operated pretty much continuously for 100 years or more, providing reliable electricity to the grid. The hydroelectric facility cannot have been offline for a period of more than six months. Hydropower plants anywhere in the world are eligible.

Nominations received by Jan. 5, 2025, will be considered for 2025. Nominations received after that date will be considered for 2026.

Once a nomination is received, additional information will be gathered to help determine the final 2025 Hydro Hall of Fame inductees.

Since the Hydro Hall of Fame award was created in 1995, 70 hydropower projects have been inducted.
