The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to provide technical services to maintain and further develop its Hydrologic Database System. Bids are due March 16.
Reclamation requested information in February on firms able to provide civil, mechanical and electrical engineering professional services to support work at hydroelectric plants and other infrastructure. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a contract last year to Northwest Hydraulic Consultant Inc. to provide hydrologic and hydraulic planning, analysis, modeling, software development and other services for its Hydrologic Engineering Center.
In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation now seeks bids for an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract of one year with four option years.
Reclamation’s Hydrologic Database System is combined with a collection of software applications that are set up to automatically collect and store a variety of operational and hydrologic data from various data sources. Operational staff uses the data for day-to-day operations and modeling of dams, reservoir and related features.
Support and maintenance of the system will require the successful bidder to have expert-level Oracle database management, computer programming in JAVA, C, Perl and VB.net, as well as software development skills.
A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R15PS00019 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
