Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) has reissued a call for bids to supply electro-mechanical equipment for the 156-MW Song Bung 4 hydroelectric project in Vietnam’s Quang Nam Province. Bids due June 6.
EVN originally took bids in 2010 for both electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment for Song Bung 4. The state-owned utility issued a US$4.6 million contract in March to Hydraulic Equipment & Joint Stock Co. of Vietnam to supply the hydro-mechanical equipment.
In 2010, EVN also awarded China’s Sinohydro Corp. Ltd. several contracts worth a combined US$92.7 million to provide engineering and civil works for the project. Song Bung 4 includes a 110-meter-tall, 367-meter-long dam with reservoir of 15.8 square kilometers, a 3.1-kilometer tunnel, a short tailrace canal, and a powerhouse containing two 78-MW generating units.
On behalf of EVN, the Song Bung 4 Hydropower Management Board now seeks bids for Package 4 (TB-04), supply transportation, storage and preservation, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment.
Bid documents may be obtained by written application to the address below for a fee of US$100 plus US$40 for courier delivery. Bids are due by 2 p.m. June 6.
