Utility seeks equipment to refurbish Italian plants

Power generator Edipower SpA invites applications for pre-qualification to provide turnkey hydropower equipment for the rehabilitation of Italian hydroelectric projects. Responses are due February 15.

Edipower seeks suppliers of replacement equipment for projects having Pelton or Francis turbines ranging from 200 kW to 60 MW. The unnamed projects are located in Lombardia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Campania. Edipower previously invited pre-qualification to provide engineering services for four hydro projects in the same locales. (HNN 12/21/06)

The utility plans to issue requests for bids between April 2007 and April 2010.
