The Bureau of Reclamation seeks information on firms able to rewind generators at the 140-MW Trinity hydroelectric project on the Trinity River in California. Responses are due Jan. 21.
Reclamation took bids last year to rebuild the cooling water strainers used in the generator and bearing cooling water systems at Trinity. It also requested information on firms capable of refurbishing intake gate mechanical equipment and a gate shaft and took bids for inspection of a bridge crane at the project.
In sources sought notice, Reclamation now seeks information on firms able to rewind generators at Trinity. Responses are to be used to determine the type of solicitation to be issued.
Valued at more than $10 million, the work is to include rewinding two generators and supplying related components and services.
The sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R15PS00287 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
