The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to perform final machining of mechanical components for the 115-MW Ozark hydroelectric project on the Arkansas River in Arkansas. Responses are due July 1.
The Corps’ Little Rock District seeks information on firms able to perform final machining of a low speed gear, gear shaft, and forged blank pinions to ensure adequate competition for the work. The district last year awarded a contract to Evans Enterprises Inc. to refurbish a generator at Missouri’s 200-MW Table Rock hydroelectric project.
The low speed gear and gear shaft are located at the 60-MW Webber Falls hydroelectric project on the Arkansas River in Oklahoma, while two forged blank pinions are located at Ozark powerhouse on the Arkansas River in Arkansas. The mechanical components are to be shipped to the fabrication facility then shipped to the Ozark project, which has been undergoing rehabilitation.
