Norway generator pre-qualifies equipment suppliers

Norway hydro operator Nord-Trondelag Elektrisitetsverk Holding AS (NTE) invites applications for pre-qualification to supply turbine-generator equipment up to 5 MW.

NTE said it is extending a series of small hydropower installations in the region of from 500 kW to 5 MW. It seeks to pre-qualify suppliers of Francis, Pelton, and Kaplan turbines, generators, shut-off valves, regulators, and control installations.

It said the qualification system would extend through October 2010.
