Macedonia water agency seeks repairs, maintenance of hydropower plants

Macedonia water management agency JP Strezevo seeks bids for repairs and maintenance of equipment for hydropower projects. Bids are due November 24.

JP Strezevo manages water for irrigation, water supply and protection and flood control. It has four small hydropower projects, 2.4-MW Strezevo, a 132-kW minimum biological flow plant, 380-kW Filternica and 460-kW Dovledzik.

Macedonia utility AD Elektrarni na Makedonija took bids in August for technical supervision of dam safety civil work at the 36.4-MW St. Petka and 82-MW Kozjak hydroelectric projects and in March to construct the dam and other civil works of the 70-MW Boskov Most hydroelectric project.

JP Strezevo now seeks bids for any or all of 31 lots of work covering service, repairs and testing electrical installation works for maintenance of electrical and other equipment for hydropower. The work is valued at 31.98 million denars (US$659,650) and is to require 365 days.
