India’s NHPC Ltd. has revived an invitation to pre-qualify to supply automation and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) equipment for six hydroelectric projects. Responses are due July 16.
Pre-qualification documents must be requested by June 25. Firms who obtained documents in response to the solicitation last year are not required to pay the document fee. (HNN 11/1/07)
NHPC, the former National Hydroelectric Power Corp., plans to seek proposals to supply, install, and commission automation and SCADA equipment at the 180-MW Baira Siul (HNN 6/10/05), 105-MW Loktak (HNN 4/2/08), 690-MW Salal (HNN 3/2/06), 540-MW Chamera 1, 120-MW Tanakpur (in Nepal) (HNN 7/4/06), and 60-MW Rangit (HNN 3/20/06) projects. It also seeks a mimic display system at the NHPC corporate office in Faridabad.
NHPC also issued a similar request in 2006 for a SCADA system to link the six projects, plus the 400-MW Uri project.
The deadline for obtaining pre-qualification documents from NHPC’s Internet site, www.nhpcindia.com, is June 25. Those who do so must submit a letter of confirmation by July 2 to the address below with a document fee of 5,000 rupees or US$125 in the form of a crossed demand draft to NHPC Ltd. at Faridabad. The documents also may be obtained in person or by mail until 5 p.m. June 25 from the address below for the same fee.
