Litostroj Hydro gets go-ahead for small hydro equipment

Machinery manufacturer Litostroj Hydro Inc. has been given a notice to proceed on its equipment contract for the 19-MW White River hydropower project.

The plant, located in northern Ontario, is being developed by Regional Power in partnership with the Pic Mobert First Nation.

The project will include two powerhouses, for which Litostroj Hydro is supplying four Saxo type turbine unites, two compensation units, synchronous generators, and control and protection equipment.

“We are pleased with this opportunity to work with Regional Power,” technical and commercial director Yannick Labonte said. “This project is consolidating our position as a leading water-to-wire solution provider in this market.”

Litsotroj Hydro is a Canadian company based in Bromont, Quebec, and subsidiary of Slovenia’s Litostroj Power.
