The Bureau of Reclamation has extended the deadline for bids to recoat outlet metalworks at Webster Dam on the South Fork of the Solomon River near Stockton. Bids now are due July 31.
Reclamation previously called for bids by July 19. Webster Dam, part of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program, provides flood control, irrigation water, fish and wildlife conservation, and recreation.
The bureau seeks complete removal of existing coatings, and application of a new coating system to elements including the interior and exterior of a 48-inch steel outlet pipe, handrails, ladders, slide gate bonnet cover, hydraulic hoist, cylinder head, gate hanger, hydraulic lines, bypass pipe, gate valve, ventilation piping, base plates, bearing plates, bearing shoes, and related fixtures. The work is valued at $500,000 to $1 million.
