The agency governing water resources of Spain’s Tajo River Basin seeks bids to perform dam safety studies of nine dams and reservoirs on three Spanish rivers. Bids in two solicitations are due December 23.
Confederacion Hidrografica del Tajo is responsible for flood control, water supply and dam safety on the tributaries and mainstream of the Spanish portion of the Tajo (or Tagus) River, which is shared with Portugal.
In the first of two solicitations, No. 14DT0103/NE, the agency seeks bids to conduct an overall review and analysis of the safety of Rosarito, Navalcan, Finisterre and El Castro dams and their reservoirs on the Tietar and Algodor rivers. Requiring six months, the work is valued at 135,784 euros (US$170,392).
In the second solicitation, No. 14DT0095/NE, the agency seeks bids for overall review and analysis of the safety of Burguillo, Charco del Cura, San Juan, Picadas and Cazalegas dams and their reservoirs on the Alberche River. Requiring six months, the work is valued at 168,688 euros (US$211,648).
