Reclamation awards contract for Anderson Ranch Dam hydropower plant substation replacement

Anderson Ranch Dam

Burke Electric LLC has been awarded a $1.59 million contract to replace a station service substation and related equipment at the 27-MW Anderson Ranch Dam hydropower project in Idaho.

The Bureau of Reclamation most recently sought bids for the work in May. The work includes the removal and replacement of the substation, a temporary power transformer, distribution board, conduit and other equipment.

Reclamation awarded a contact in 2012 to Precision Machine and Supply Inc. to refurbish a jet valve at Anderson Ranch, which is located on the South Fork of the Boise River.
