As the content director for HydroVision International — the world’s largest hydro industry event — most of my time is spent working with our two committees and others in the industry to come up with the best, latest, most needed information to share with attendees.
And we have a variety of ways we share this information:
- Summit sessions (the traditional conference sessions, panel presentations and technical paper presentations), with 47 planned on Wednesday and Thursday
- Knowledge hubs, our new learning offerings in the exhibit hall, with 18 sessions scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Poster presentations, which offer opportunities for interactive, small group learning, on Wednesday and Thursday
- Workshops, courses and seminars, co-located activities at HydroVision International, with x taking place on Monday and Tuesday
- Keynote and plenary sessions, featuring five industry experts on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning
But there is one more invaluable learning opportunity at HydroVision International that probably doesn’t get nearly the “press” it should: Our exhibit hall.
This year’s event features booths and displays from more than 350 companies that provide products and services across absolutely ALL aspects of hydropower. And this is where you come in.
Visiting these booths provides yet another venue to gather industry information, with exposure to new technologies, new approaches to old problems, and lessons learned that can keep you from reinventing the wheel.
So while you’re there, make adequate time to visit some of these booths and gather the information you need to do your job better or more efficiently.
