Matthews, 53, succeeds Lee J. Olivier, senior vice president and chief nuclear officer-Millstone for Northeast Utilities. Olivier had been expected to remain in his Millstone capacity for Dominion, but he informed the company that he was resigning from Northeast Utilities to pursue other challenges and would not be joining Dominion.
