Deadline extended on HYDROVISION International call for content

HVI roundtable

If you have not yet gotten the chance to submit a content proposal for HYDROVISION International 2023, we’ve extended the deadline. You need to submit your abstract by 11:59 pm Oct. 6.

Dozens of submissions already have been received. However, this extension gives us the opportunity to ensure we’re covering the most relevant and timely challenges facing the global hydropower industry.

HYDROVISION International, the world’s largest hydro industry event, attracted more than 1,000 hydro and dams industry professionals from more than 50 countries in 2023. About 150 speakers gave presentations in the conference, knowledge hubs and workshops.

For 2023, there are several opportunities to be a thought leader in the industry.

First, content proposals (abstracts or panel discussion topics) will be accepted in five broad categories: environmental issues and water management, equipment and technology, industry trends and analysis, new development, and operations and maintenance.

All submissions will be evaluated by the Conference Planning Committee. Preference will be given to proposals that focus on innovative, practical and proven technologies and methods and those that include the involvement of an owner or operator of a dam or hydropower project.

All presented technical content will be made available to conference delegates through the online access to papers and presentations program.

Second, we have issued a call for speakers.

If you are an expert but don’t have a specific content topic to propose, this is the right option for you. Potential speakers submit their contact info, as well as information on their background and specific areas of expertise.

If you feel you have the expertise to speak on a particular subject, make sure you share those details with us so you can be considered to be invited as a speaker.

Third, you can submit proposals for our Hydro Hands-On (H2O) courses.

These interactive courses are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice. They allow attendees to work directly with cutting-edge equipment, technologies, and industry experts. Submit your specific topical suggestion for an H2O course, and who should teach the course if applicable.
